INERTIAL PARTCILE SEPERATOR FILTER
Weather louvres are installed in the air intake on the building facade and protect the HVAC system against rain and leaves. At CRYSTAL AIR, we have developed effective weather protection that filters out the water and particles- before it reaches the air filter in the air handling unit (AHU). It is a specially developed intake grille that captures the particles & water droplets and drains them away, with up to 100% efficiency.
Today’s homes are tightly built which leads them to trap dust, allergens, and many more potentially hazardous contaminants. The EPA has this to say on the importance of indoor air quality, “indoor concentrations of some pollutants have increased in recent decades due to energy-efficient building construction (when it lacks sufficient mechanical ventilation to ensure adequate air exchange) and increased use of synthetic building materials, furnishings, personal care products, pesticides, and household cleaners”.
self cleaning, inertial separator. It is designed to handle large volumes of air at high velocities, while operating at a constant airflow resistance. The CRYSTAL AIR inertial filter is normally self-cleaning and does not require routine maintenance. It is designed to provide long, trouble-free service under the most difficult conditions. Dynavane blade packs are removable. This unique feature facilitates thorough inspection or service, if necessary. Material of construction can be Mild Steel, SS304 & SS316.
CIRCULAR PRE FILTERS
Stationary vanes cause incoming air to spin
Centrifugal force spins dust and dirt to the outer walls
Dust and dirt can be removed via gravity or scavenge airflow for greater efficiency
Clean air continues on through the tube to the primary air cleaner or engine
pre-cleaners can be configured with standard airflow or can be augmented by a scavenge system to improve pre-cleaner efficiency. Scavenging introduces a secondary airflow to the drop tube on the air cleaner.. This flow creates a vacuum that draws the separated contaminant from the pre-cleaner and ejects it via the exhaust stream.
ELECTROMAGNETIC INERTIAL FILTER
The filter is defined “inertial” because, if an air flow containing the dust particles or other impurities undergoes a direction change boosted by magnetic field, the particles with positive & negative charges are subject to the force of inertia which makes them follow the direction of the original motion. The difference of kinetic energy that the particles with different masses have, helps the separation of the impurities from the air flow. The air is separated from the dust crossing special slots. The dusts highly accelerated, maintain a rectilinear direction, go inside the cell and are conveyed in a collecting duct. The dusts, are, then, sucked and ejected by a secondary fan. Such fan, duly designed, is usually supplied with the filter. The secondary fan has to be suitable to transport dusty air .
DUST COLLECTING PROCESS
Airflow enters the retention pockets and travel all the way through twists and turn of the unique design of our accordion filter. Particles that are heavier than air follow tangent trajectories within the airflow and gradually accumulate in the retention pockets outside of airflow. The accumulated particles sucked up by bleed fan on the exhaust side way back in the outside.
AHU INERTIAL FILTERS
Our inertial particle separation can be configured in either large or small to help address requirements for a range of applications and dust conditions. In heavy dust environments, a large number of vanes can be packed into a relatively small space to improve separator efficiency. In environments with heavy amounts of chaff or debris (such as agricultural applications) large vane may help to prevent premature clogging.
